About Birthing From Within
"Through soul-searching and listening more deeply to the women I was working
with, I finally understood that women have to prepare for birth in their heart
and soul, not their head. And that giving birth is something a woman does in
her body, not in her head."
-- Pam England
Philosophy
Childbirth is more than a medical event; it involves profound emotional,
social, and physical changes for the parents and families involved.
Expectant parents bring a wealth of experiences with them -- by promoting
self-discovery, parents can get in touch with what they already know
intuitively.
Pre-natal classes include sensory and practical information so that women learn
how to give birth and men learn how to be present to birth not only in their
heads, but also in their bodies.
Regardless of how and where a woman gives birth, she and those who support her
can create a loving and compassionate birth.
